Breaking Through

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ...
2 Corinthians 2:14 NASB

This artwork is all about breaking through! The boxer is a fighter who is clothed in his white HOLY shorts (aka white robe of righteousness). He wears his red gloves representing the victory we have been given through Christ's shed blood and they are inscribed with the above verse to show how we use the Word of God to fight. The black barrier of the enemy is shattered and abolished to reveal the light on the other side breaking through. We are always breaking forth into greater victory and healing as God leads us forward into His purposes!

A voice is calling,
"Clear the way for the LORD in the wilderness;
Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God.
“Let every valley be lifted up,
And every mountain and hill be made low;
And let the rough ground become a plain,
And the rugged terrain a broad valley;
Then the glory of the LORD will be revealed,
And all flesh will see it together;
For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
Isaiah 40:3-5 NASB

There is no wall of the enemy which cannot be overcome. As we gather together in unity, seek the LORD and humble ourselves before Him in obedience, doing it HIS WAY, we will be healed.

...if my people, who are called by my name,
will humble themselves and pray and seek my face
and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven,
and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14 TNIV

From Sea to Sea

He shall have dominion also from sea to sea,
And from the River to the ends of the earth.
Psalm 72:8 NKJV

Here is the throne of God in the center of the Canadian Flag. The maple leaf represents healing, the red represents the blood of Christ and the white represents purity and holiness. Souls are joyfully approaching the throne of grace, receiving salvation and worshiping Jesus: the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. This painting anticipates the souls who will enter the Kingdom of God from this nation of Canada. From the east to the west, they will come.

Golden Instrument

This painting is of a golden vessel being played by the Potter's hands. The breath of God is blowing into this instrument, producing the fragrance of heaven, worship, colors, expressions... The gold vessel represents the body of Christ in unity and how God moves through us in beautiful and powerful ways.

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV

“The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life."
Job 33:4 NASB

“The people whom I formed for Myself Will declare My praise."

The Prince of Egypt

This is one of my all time favorite movies. It still makes me cry! This movie is getting old... it was released back in 1998 but will always be a classic in my books. The story doesn't follow the bible exactly; they changed some things to fill in gaps, as other movie adaptations have done.
I especially like the song Jethro sung when Moses was with the Midian people.
You can watch the song clip Here and the Dream Scene

"With the sting of the whip on my shoulder, with the salt of my sweat on my brow... Elohim, God on high, can you hear your people cry? Help us now, this dark hour... Deliver us, hear our call, deliver us, Lord of all! Remember us, here in this burning sand! Deliver us, there's a land you promised us! Deliver us to the promised land!"

John 3:16 by Tony Lawrence

I think this is such an effective form of artwork! Gets the message across real well, especially for children.
I hope we see more...

"It took quite a long time to prepare each individual image; I set myself the task of preparing one each day. As you can see there are 27 colored images in total. It ended up taking a month to produce the whole set.
Originally, each individual image was printed on a separate card. The cards were then used to teach a youth group (about 150 children) the verse over the course of a week.
I have plans to turn these graphics into posters, memory games, book marks etc.
Was worth the effort in the end...!"
