Creation by Todd Thomas

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.
John 1:1-5 NIV

Tuned In by Lemrac

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
Colossians 3:16

Then Joshua said to the sons of Israel, "Come here, and hear the words of the LORD your God."

Running the Race

A pen outline drawing about running the Race of Faith I drew this December.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1-2 TNIV

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Ephesians 6:16 TNIV

I see many other bible verses in this picture including the parable of the sower.
What do you see when you look at it?

Your Choice is Your Way by *Osokin

Browsing through wallpapers on Deviantart one day lead me to this striking wallpaper.

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Matthew 7:13-14

The Rainbow

I have always been fascinated with rainbows. It is difficult to choose just one favorite color when they all look so appealing together. Though the rainbow is now used to symbolize many things, it's true meaning can be found in the bible:

And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my
rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."
Genesis 9:12-16 TNIV

The natural rainbow consists of seven colors:
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet

God uses various colors to communicate truth to us symbolically.
Here are some of the main colors mentioned in scripture and their meaning (non-comprehensive):

Amber: The glory of God (Ezekiel 1:4, 8:2)
Black: Sin, death, famine (Lamentations 4:8/ Jeremiah 8:21/ Revelation 6:5)
Blue: Heaven, heavenly, authority, from above, Holy Spirit (Numbers 15:38/ John 14:26)
Crimson: Blood atonement, sacrifice or death (Leviticus 14:52/ Joshua 2:18, 21/ Isaiah 1:18)
Purple: Kingship, royalty (Judges 8:26/ John 19:2)
Red: War, bloodshed, death (2 Kings 3:22/ Revelation 6:4, 12:3)
Scarlet: Blood atonement; sacrifice (as crimson) (Leviticus 14:52/ Joshua 2:18, 21/ Isaiah 1:18)
White: Purity, light, righteousness, holiness of God, Christ, the angels or saints (Revelation 6:2, 7:9, 19:8, 3:4-5, 15:6)

HAPPY COLORING!
