Running the Race

A pen outline drawing about running the Race of Faith I drew this December.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1-2 TNIV

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
Ephesians 6:16 TNIV

I see many other bible verses in this picture including the parable of the sower.
What do you see when you look at it?

Great picture! I am also reminded of the days of Noah when people were making fun of him building the ark. The people at the table are the present world, The person hanging on the chair did start to run the race but is hanging on the past. The one in the hole is not moving forward she is actually having a nap. Perhaps she is lazy and is not pushing through and is comfortable where she is. The man standing on the table is satan with his fiery darts aimed at Christians. Faith on the spoken word of God will render the flaming arrows ineffective. Christians appropriate the promises in the Bible for yourself and run the race to win the prize!
